At The IDEAL School, you can focus on what you want to focus on. We specialize in helping students create programs that meet their individual goals, interests, and passions. Our main focus is to help you improve your language skills so that you can achieve your goals.

Here are just a few examples of the types of programs you can create at The IDEAL School.

Interest Program Specifics
Snowboarding or Snow skiing "Snow Lovers Program" In addition to living and studying English at The IDEAL School, you could go skiing or boarding 2 or 3 times per week. Some of the area ski resorts are Mt. Hood Meadows, Timberline, and Ski Bowl.

Golf "Golf Lovers Program" Besides the classes and culture learning at The IDEAL School, you will have an opportunity to play golf at many of the finest public golf courses around the Portland-Vancouver area. Some resources on courses in the area: Golf Link, Oregon Live, and Oregon Golf.
Rock climbing or Mountaineering "Mountain Lovers Program" While living and studying English at The IDEAL School, you could learn mountaineering skills and visit several area climbing walls to learn how to rock climb. Between March and October, you can go on a wilderness adventure with Mountain Leadership Institute, a partner of The IDEAL School.
Horses "Horse Lovers Program" If you would like to learn more about horses and get to ride them, you can create a special program in addition to your classes at The IDEAL School. There are a number of horse facilities in the area, and you can learn everything you wanted to know about horses. (Stable.com, Oregon Horse Directory)
Organic Gardening "Garden Lovers Program" Come and enjoy the pleasure of working with the soil. You can work in the organic garden on campus. You will learn about organic gardening techniques. If you come at the right time of the year, you can also eat the fruits of your labors from the garden and orchard. Any time of the year, you will visit one or more organic greenhouses in the area.
